Bartosz Kokosi\u0144ski was born in 1984. Painter, visual artist. From 2004 to 2009 Kokosi\u0144ski studied at the Faculty of Painting of the Academy of Fine Arts in Krakow. A four-time scholarship holder of the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage. Participant in the 6th Triennale of Young Artists in Oro\u0144sko and the 10th Geppert Contest in Wroc\u0142aw. In 2015 he was awarded at the 42nd\u00a0 Bielska Jesie\u0144 Painting Biennale.<\/p>\n
Bartosz Kokosi\u0144ski involves an artistic reflection on the phenomenon of the picture, repeating the question about its status and significance. He is not interested in the aspect of illustrativeness of the painting medium, but in the very painting process, in the physicality of the matter that the painting is made of. The artist subjects paintings to deformation: he bends their structure, turns canvas inside out, sticks various objects inside. His works tend to be flawed, \u2018ill\u2019, presenting their imperfections to the audience (\u2026).
