Basia Bańda

Basia Bańda was born in 1980. She graduated from professor Jarosław Kozłowski’s studio at the Academy of Fine Arts in Poznań (2006). She lives and works in Zielona Góra, Poland. In her artistic practice, she uses media such as painting, drawing, collage, photography, sculpture, and performance. In 2007 and 2009 she was a scholarship holder of the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage of the Republic of Poland. Currently, she works as an assistant professor Ryszard Woźniak at the Visual Arts Institute Department of the University of Zielona Góra. Her works appear in many public and private collections including Ujazdowski Castle Centre for Contemporary Art, Warsaw, National Museum, Gdańsk, Bunkier Sztuki Gallery of Contemporary Art, Cracow, Labirynt Gallery, Lublinie, and The ING Polish Art Foundation.
