Krzysztof Gil

Krzysztof Gil was born in 1987. He is a visual artist who uses drawing, painting, sculpture and printmaking in his practice. He graduated from the Faculty of Graphic Arts at the Academy of Fine Arts in Krakow, where he received his Master’s degree under the supervision of Prof. Piotr Panasiewicz, PhD. He defended his doctorate in art at his alma mater in 2018. He is currently a lecturer at the Faculty of Fine Arts at the University of the National Education Commission in Krakow. In 2016 he was awarded the Creative Scholarship of the City of Krakow.

He has presented his works in institutions and galleries such as European Roma Institute for Arts and Culture – ERIAC, Berlin; Museum of Modern Art, Warsaw; Arsenal Gallery, Bialystok; Gdansk City Gallery, Gdansk; Central Museum of Textiles, Łódź; Stefan Gierowski Foundation, Warsaw; BWA Wrocław; BWA Tarnów; Szara Kamienica Gallery, Krakow; Museum of Contemporary Art, Wrocław; l’étrangère, London; Akademie der Künste, Berlin.
