Krzysztof Gil was born in 1987. He is a visual artist who uses drawing, painting, sculpture, and printmaking in his practice. He graduated from the Faculty of Graphic Arts at the Academy of Fine Arts, Cracow, where he received his master’s degree under the tutorship of Prof. Piotr Panasiewicz, PhD. He defended his doctorate in art in 2018 at his alma mater. Currently, he is a lecturer at the Faculty of Art at the University of the National Education Commission, Cracow. In 2016, he was awarded the Creative Scholarship of the City of Krakow.

He has presented his works in institutions and galleries such as: European Roma Institute for Arts and Culture – ERIAC, Berlin; Museum of Modern Art, Warsaw; Arsenal Gallery, Bialystok; Gdańsk City Gallery, Gdańsk; Central Museum of Textiles, Łódź; Stefan Gierowski Foundation, Warsaw; BWA Wrocław; BWA Tarnów; Szara Kamienica Gallery, Cracow; Museum of Contemporary Art, Wrocław; l’étrangère, London; Akademie der Kunst, Berlin.
