Łukasz Korolkiewicz

Łukasz Korolkiewicz was born in 1948 in Warsaw. Between 1965 and 1971 he studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw, graduating from the Stefan Gierowski studio. He received grants from the US Information Agency in 1986, the Virginia Center for the Creative Arts in 1986, and the Kościuszko Foundation in 1990. He received the Independent Culture Committee Award from the Solidarity Trade Union in 1983, and the Jan Cybis Award in 1991. Since 1980, he has worked at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw, and since 1996 he has been running a painting studio at the Faculty of Design.

His works can be found in the collections of the National Museum in Warsaw, National Museum in Cracow, National Museum in Poznań, Museum of Art in Łódź, Zachęta – National Gallery of Art, as well as in private collections in Poland, Germany, Denmark, Sweden, France, United Kingdom, Canada, and USA.
